Going back some way in Kitty history.  The old family bible starts at the end of slavery in the Colonies but the modern story begins with Grandfather Frederick and his wife Marjorie nee Rohlehr.  He became headmaster of the local church school which is now the F. E. Pollard Primary School. They built the family home which is still owned by a Pollard today (Peter) at 53 David Street, Kitty.

The descendants?  The ‘Carmen Pollards’ (Richmonds) are in Atlanta, New York City and sometimes New Orleans.  The ‘Myrtle Pollards’ (Bobbs) in Philadelphia, Sweden and various places in Eastern Europe. The ‘Marjorie Pollards’ (Spencers) in Virginia and Philadelphia,  The ‘Fred Pollards’ in Kitty, Atlanta, North Carolina, Italy (where Rachel?)  and California.  The ‘Frank Pollards’  are in Reading, England, London and sometimes Pere Street, Kitty as well ...
